PS Wagunda Meets Heads of Procurement from various State Institutions.
The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda, yesterday met the Heads of Procurement deployed to various government entities to evaluate the progress of the rolling out of the electronic Government Procurement (eGP) system.
In his remarks, the PS said the intention of the System is to enhance the integrity and efficiency of public spending.
He told the Procurement Heads that the decisions the make everyday shape value for money, service delivery, and public trust.
"When the Government embarked on the eGP initiative, our objective was very clear: to automate manual procurement processes, enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and embed accountability throughout the procurement lifecycle. Today, I acknowledge that we have made notable progress where online supplier registration, tendering, and aspects of contract management are functional," said the PS.
