Briefing session

PS Wagunda calls for automation of Government projects to track their implementation and evaluation.

Public Investments and Assets Management Principal Secretary, Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today launched  a week-long workshop to review the Public Investment Management Information System (PIMIS) in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
This workshop will provide a platform to take stock of where the process of developing the System has reached, it’s performance and functionality as well as identifying areas of improvement, and agree on a clear roadmap for the next phase of its enhancement.
PS Wagunda reaffirmed the Government's commitment towards improving the implementation and management of Public Investment Projects across the country, a step that has been bolstered by the National Treasury through the  establishment of the Public Investment Management (PIM) Framework, aimed at strengthening the entire project cycle, from planning to completion.

In his concluding remarks, the PS encouraged the participants to   actively participate with pride, ownership, and a shared vision to make PIMIS a lasting pillar of good governance and public value though  share their experiences, raise challenges, and contribute ideas that will make PIMIS stronger and more responsive to the needs of all MDAs.
Together, we can ensure that PIMIS becomes a cornerstone of good governance and a model of digital transformation in the public sector investment management.
