The Principal Secretary in the State Department for Public Investments and Assets Management (PIAM) Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today paid a courtesy visit to his counterpart in the State Department for East African Community (EAC) Affairs Dr. Caroline Karugu at EAC offices, Nairobi.

The two leaders discussed a wide range of issues of possible areas of collaboration between the two Departments in the Whole-of-Government Approach (WOGA) for the benefit of the people of Kenya.

Afterwards, the two leaders met procurement and supply chain officers attached to EAC to discuss the progress of rolling out the Electronic Government Procurement (eGP) System to identify the challenges encountered in the roll out and provide possible solutions.

PS Wagunda reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Government to adopt the system to seals loopholes in expenditure and enhancing fairness in public procurement.
