Cabinet Secretary  for the National Treasury Hon. FCPA  John Mbadi Ng'ongo, EGH earlier today, Wednesday 19th November, 2025 launched the Public Sector Hearings on the proposed FY 2026/27 and Medium-Term Budget at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) ,Nairobi.

The launch marks the beginning of a three-day national exercise aimed at upholding transparency, accountability, and public participation in the budget-making process which is in accordance with Article 201(a) of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 36 of the Public Finance Management Act (Cap. 412A).

CS Mbadi emphasized on the need for prudent macro-economic planning, equitable resource allocation and impactful economic stability that is suitable for the Common Mwananchi.
present during the launch were Principal Secretaries Cyrell Wagunda (State Department for Public Investments and Assets Management)Dr. Chris Kiptoo (National Treasury) and Dr. Bonface Makokha (National Planning) as well as the Chairman of the Budget Appropriation Committee at the National Assembly Hon. Samuel Atandi.

Also present were various Development Partners and other stakeholders.
