Cities Forum Training
The ongoing Cities Forum training has progressed into a more advanced, practice-oriented phase, where the PPP Committee and our technical teams are interrogating real transaction pathways and applying global standards to current projects under preparation. The sessions are refining our approaches to due-diligence sequencing, financial-model interrogation, sensitivity testing, and the governance controls that anchor disciplined decision-making. This is equipping teams to navigate complex structuring environments with greater precision, ensure documentation integrity at every stage, and elevate the professional rigor with which projects are advanced from concept to commercial structuring.
The forum is also strengthening our institutional alignment by deepening understanding of investor expectations, lender-side requirements, and the operational metrics that shape performance throughout the concession term. The engagement is enhancing our ability to produce projects that meet credibility thresholds in competitive markets, demonstrate long-term service reliability, and position the State as a predictable counterparty. As this training intensifies, it is reinforcing the maturity of Kenya’s PPP ecosystem and embedding the competencies required to deliver infrastructure that supports national mobility, economic expansion and sustained public value.
In attendance is Mr. Cyril Odede, PS - PIAM, Dr Boniface Makhokha, PS - Economic Planning, Member Kizito Wangalwa and Macharia Taki among others.
